Bill of Quantities Preparation and Measurement Audits

KS Associates has considerable experience in this area which has been built up over the past 30 years. Since 1999 we have prepared over 500 full bills of quantities and measurement audits for projects upto 500M. These bills have been for a multitude of building sectors including residential, commercial, education institutions, pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, nuclear power stations, water treatment works, railways and London underground stations, highways and many more. We prepare our bills of quantities in SMM7, CESMM3, Highways and bespoke measurement systems to suit your needs, using our computer system that generates the final document in Excel, PDF or CITE format.

Value Engineerng

In today's climate value engineering is becoming increasingly important to our clients. An understanding of value in design creates a balance of performance and resource use that optimises the ability of the project to achieve it's objectives.

Cost Planning and Budgets

Our teams experience, skills and knowledge in both quantity surveying and estimating gives us the ability to produce realistic Cost Plans and Budgets for a variety of projects. In particular our vast experience of Design & Build puts us in the prime position to efficiently identify the gaps and risk inherent in the level of design information available at all stages of the project.

We use historical data and current building cost information, to produce a cost plan that clearly identifies allocation of monies. We believe our cost plans and budgets provide our clients with the essential framework within which design and cost changes can be considered and finalised.

Claim Preparation and Support

KS Associates offers a wide range of legal support services to the construction industry, working directly with contractors, sub-contractors and employers.

The following services are offered; Contract Advice, Dispute Avoidance, Claim Preparation and Defence, Delay Analysis, Adjudication Support and Arbitration Support.

Estimating and Tendering

Our team prepares estimates from drawings, specifications, schedules and bills of quantities. From our experience, built up over the years, we are in a good position in terms of up to date pricing methods and our ability to evaluate the current marketplace when compiling tenders for projects.

We offer our Clients the opportunity to increase their tendering capacity or buy-in our expertise as their business needs dictate.

Project Management

With the teams past experience within a Main Contractors environment carrying out quantity surveying, project management and estimating roles we have the competance to deliver a high-quality Project Management package. Our approach is based on a defined methodology that addresses the needs of the project throughout its life cycle, from inception through to completion and handover.

Final Accounts

Acting on behalf of the client, we can ensure that total project costs are properly and equitably evaluated. We ensure that all items of work are properly measured, evaluated and vouched prior to final negotiations and sign off. We provide final reports detailing final costs associated with major aspects of the project.

KS Associates has ample experience and knowledge of all disciplines within post contract Quantity Surveying. We are able to offer a complete post contract solution for your project or provide support to your in-house project team. We provide a variety of services which includes the following; Site Measurment, Material Scheduling, Interim Valuations, Subcontractors Accounts, day works, variation Accounts, Claim Preparation and Final Accounts.
